The "Once upon a time Venables ..." Museum.
The museum is located in the heart of the village, not far from the motte castrale and the church. Create during the Venables Families convention in 2011 on the initiative of Venablois and Venabloises passionate about the history of their village. It tells by materials found on different sites of the municipal territory the implantation of man during prehistory,
Roman Antiquity and the evolution of the village during the Middle Ages. (Polished stone, tools, coins, fibula). It traces the life of two characters: Gilbert de Venables (lord of the village in the 11th century) Jean Venable (hawker in the 15th century).
Through documents he tells the story of the mound, the life of the parish of Venables (the Factory, the churchwardens, the charity of Venables). Presentation of the equipment of the fire brigade of Venables in the 19th and 20th century.
An important exhibition on the beginnings to the present day of the secular school in Venables. Without forgetting the old tools, the clothes, the rediscovery of the craft of laying the duckling.
Finally an important exhibition of materials found retracing the hard fighting from 8 to 10 June 1940 and those of 1944 which took place all over the meander of the Seine and in particular in the village.
